Local news outlets in Des Moines, Iowa are reporting that Slipknot Bassist Paul Gray was found dead this morning in his hotel room. Authorities say the 38-year-old was found at around 10:30a, and that no signs of foul play were evident. An autopsy will be conducted on Tuesday, complete with toxicology testing. Examiner suspects it was the result of a drug overdose, due to Gray's previous abuse of drugs and alcohol.
Gray has been a part of the nu-metal band since 1995, who are known as much for their theatrics as they are their aggressive sound. In addition to bass, Gray also contributed backup vocals. KCCI also reports that Gray had been expecting a child with his wife, Breanna.

Not a big fan of Slipknot, but that's still shitty news.

Kenny and one of the other guys is on tour with Danzig right now. Their band is now called Seventh Void.
